outSPOKEN Screen Reader

This is another experiment in pileup query.
I used only the simple search to collect the initial information and the pileups.

Original Query was: outSPOKEN Screen Reader

I slightly edited the results and erased duplicates.

Conclusions: Pileups were more informative than the original search.

This is the first results page.

outSPOKEN is a fully featured Computer Screen Reader that is particularly popular with Braille users as it provides a wealth of contextual information on the Braille display, minimizing the reliance on Speech feedback. Of course, it is designed to provide a good complementarity between Braille information and Speech information.

outSPOKEN was the only such screen reader for Macs on the market. So the announcement elicited a good deal of concern from the blind community.

And these are the pileups:

This also extends the navigation and operation possibilities of the outSPOKEN 2.01 screen reader dramatically. With twin satellite key pads, double touch cursors, three status cells, and activation of speech feedback from the braille display, the ALVA 544 Satellite in combination with outSPOKEN allows you to be twice as productive, twice as creative and have twice as much fun, when working with computers.

Using HPR and Window-Eyes version 4.0 or later If you use Window-Eyes as your screen reader, several Window-Eyes key assignments on the numeric keypad conflict with HPR numeric keypad keys. Also, when you first start HPR while Window-Eyes is running, Window-Eyes speaks at the same time as HPR. The procedure outlined below will silence Window-Eyes automatically while HPR is running. Please note that this procedure will need to be performed also with the HPR Tutorial to ensure that Window-Eyes is always silent in HPR.
